Cristin Cash PhD has created and taught in-person, study abroad, and distance learning courses in global art history, humanities, and museum practice.

Cristin is CEO/Co-Owner of Green Stripe Consulting, LLC and Professor of Art History at Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland.

Cristin's teaching philosophy and professional work centers on the globalization and decolonization of art history, visual literacy training, curatorial practice, experimental pedagogy, and open education. Her courses start and end with the belief that 'Art Matters' and every learner can find meaning or significance in the experience, interpretation and understanding of visual art.

Fantastic! This course is designed to help you see museums differently. Your experience and prior knowledge provide the perfect base for a deeper exploration of how museums work, what they mean to you, and how you can be a more active and informed museum-goer.


How long will it take?

Approximately 3 hours, not including coursework or museum visits.

If it takes more, no worries! If it takes less, more museum time!


When do we meet?

We do not meet at a specific time. This course is entirely online, asynchronous and self-paced.


Do I have to go to museums?

No! Only if you can or want to.

You can complete the course using virtual museums then practice what you've learned when you have time to visit a museum in person
